Filigree Video

Paraguay is known for its filigree which is a technique that consists of very thin silver threads twisted together in the most artistic way creating these unique pieces. Depending on the complexity of the design, each piece can involve from 36 to 80 hours of intense artisan labor.

During her stay in Paraguay in the months of July and August 2008, Muna Annahas produced a short documentary about the art of filigree titled "Senderos De Plata" ("Silver Paths"). The presentation was made in Asuncion and was covered by major paraguayan newspapers:
